Louis yves LeBEAU, Eng., M.Eng., PQS

President

Mr Louis yves LeBEAU is Macogep’s Founding President, and a renowned pioneer in Project Management. Since 1980, he has acquired his experience working with multiple engineering and construction corporations in the energy, transportation, urban infrastructure and building sectors.

Mr LEBEAU has managed numerous projects from execution to completion. Hence, he masters all the steps: from follow up to operations control, from study to methods and work process optimization, through quality system implementation with consulting engineering, construction and engineering works operation firms.

Mr LEBEAU has taught project management at the University level, and coordinated corporate training programs for over 10 years. Involved in research and development of project management related strategies and information technologies, he contributed to implementing several applications in the industry, such as cost planning and cost control integrated systems using performance measurement tools.

With his renowned expertise, he appears before the courts as an expert witness in project management and construction, and is often invited as lecturer during construction expert meetings. He is certified by the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation to chair and serve on dispute resolution committees.

His experience at the City Hall of his community, from 2005 to 2009, allowed him to acquire an acute knowledge of municipal and supramunicipal bodies operating rules: intermunicipal management board and regional county municipality.

With twelve years of experience in international companies, Karine worked as a Financial Controller and then as Director of Finance, Accounting and Treasury. As responsible for the planning, supervision and direction of all activities and processes related to accounting and financial controls, Karine has always stood out for her rigor, her proactivity for the development of new projects, as well as its ability to mobilize teams.

Trained Engineer, Mr GRÉGOIRE has been Vice-president, Associate and Project Manager at Macogep since 2001. In near of 30 years of professional career with Macogep, he always was a key resource for major projects all over the Province of Québec.

Accomplished and versatile Project Manager, Mr GRÉGOIRE specialises in construction methods, estimation techniques and costs control. He leads major and complex projects in the institutional, municipal and energy sectors, for private and public clients such as the City of Montréal, Québecor Media Inc., the Société de transport de l’Outaouais (Outaouais Public Transit Corporation) and Ultramar (Valero).

Senior Vice President, COO and Associate, Mr GRÉGOIRE is responsible for all project management and construction management activities at Macogep. He excels in leading and coordinating professionals and contractors participating in a project, to make sure that the project meets owner’s needs and expectations in scope, quality, cost, and deadlines.

High-level executive, he is a team-oriented professional renowned for his thoroughness and leadership.

A graduate in civil and construction engineering, Walter has 25 years’ experience in project management.

Construction and management specialist, Walter acquired, throughout his career, an extended experience in project management, and construction and design, in varied sectors: buildings, municipal infrastructure, water treatment and industrial and port installations.

He stands out with the acuteness of his judgment, and the quality of his decisions, and is renowned for his analysis skills and rigorous approach.

With degrees in both Engineering and Law, Mr LÉGER cumulates over 35 years of professional experience, of which the last seven with as Executive Vice-president, Project Governance, with Macogep. He is also responsible for the development of Macogep’s Branch in Paris.

Mr LÉGER started his career as an engineer in the private sector, working in infrastructure, road system and water management.

He moved ahead in the public sector, acting as general manager for, successively, the Communauté urbaine de Montréal (Montréal Urban Community), and the cities of Longueuil and Montréal. He was also Vice Rector, Administration and Finances at the University of Montréal.

In charge of major projects throughout his entire career, Mr LÉGER masters perfectly all aspects of the public administration, and has a sharp understanding of complex projects comprising many stakeholders.

Charles ABOUKHALED, Eng., M.Eng., PMP, VMA, MSP

Vice President - Contracts, Risks and Dispute Resolution

Trained Engineer, Mr ABOUKHALED started his career as Project Manager in public transit, municipal infrastructures, and building construction. Afterwards, he specialized in Risks, Values, Contracts and Quality.

His track record includes many projects in value engineering review, audits and risk analysis. He also completed many due diligence reviews for major infrastructure projects valued over $40 M, for the Conseil du Trésor du Québec (Treasury Board of Québec).

Skilled negotiator, Mr ABOUKHALED masters the art of minimizing the impact of contract disputes. His upstream implication in a project contributes to minimizing litigation risks. At several occasions, he was called upon as expert witness in court.

With his communication skills, he is a highly demanded lecturer in project management and construction contract relations. Amongst others, he is lecturer at Polytechnique Montréal, where he teaches Project Management.

Sami CHALHOUB, Eng., PMP

Trained Engineer, Mr CHALHOUB cumulates near of 20 years of practical experience in project management and construction cost control. He started his career on large-scale projects in the Middle East, combining residential, commercial, and infrastructure.

Mr CHALHOUB’s know-how is very developed in constructability analysis, planning, cost estimates and cost control, and in contract management and procurement. Macogep already benefited from this know-how on various and complex industrial, cultural and institutional projects. Mr CHALHOUB has worked for major clients such as the Société québécoise des infrastructures (Québec Infrastructure Corporation), Graymont, Loto-Québec, Aéroport de Québec, the City of Montréal, the Société de transport de Laval (Laval Public Transit Corporation), and the Régie des installations olympiques (Olympics Installations Board), on projects totalling over $220 M.

Mr CHALHOUB always aims for the best quality/price ratio, and this, to the highest benefit of the project owner.

On the strength of his entire career, combined with his aptitude to work efficiently with multidisciplinary teams, Mr CHALHOUB represents a unique and highly appreciated manager.

Maxime-Émilien LeBEAU, Eng., M.Eng.

Engineer, Mr LeBEAU joined Macogep’s team in 2009. He cumulates over 12 years of experience in construction management, cost estimates, planning and worksite surveillance. He is currently Vice President, Construction Management, for the firm.

His track record includes projects in various sectors: commercial, industrial, residential, transport and hydro electricity. Those were completed for private and public clients such as the Société de transport de l’Outaouais (Outaouais Public Transit Corporation), the Société de transport de Laval (Laval Public Transit Corporation), Graymont, CBC Corporation, and the Société québécoise des infrastructures (Québec Infrastructure Corporation) – many of them with limitations due to projects to be done in an active environment.

His knowledge of the industry and his facility to lead all steps of a project contributed to the success of large-scale projects such as the Rapibus ($255 M), completed in design-construction within the planned schedule.  BY privileging the whole-building approach, he focusses on collaboration, open dialog, and upstream implementation of optimal solutions. He valorises innovator technologies such as the BIM, to support simultaneous projects in accelerated mode, and to provide a greater flexibility adapted to the project’s progress.

Client-oriented leader, Mr LeBEAU overcomes the most complex and requiring situations. His ability to establish trusting relations contributes to the development of business partnerships, some of them still in place after 10 years.

Mr LeBEAU is fluent in both French and English. He is well-versed with the Office Suite and other software including MS Project, Revit, PROCORE and Primavera P6.

Laurent BEAUDRY, Eng. MBA, LEED AP BD+C

With a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in construction engineering, Mr BEAUDRY cumulates over than eight years of practical experience in project management and cost estimates. He intervenes in building, energy, and infrastructure projects. He acts as Vice-President, Development of sustainable projects, within Macogep’s team.

Mr BEAUDRY developed his expertise in buildings, having worked in social and health services, public buildings, accommodation, sports and culture, for clients such as the City of Montréal, the Société québécoise des infrastructures (Québec Infrastructure Corporation), and the Société de la Place des Arts.

Also present in energy and infrastructure fields, he completed with brio his mandates with Hydro-Québec and the Société de transport de Montréal (Montréal Public Transit Corporation).

Mr BEAUDRY became a leader with his knowledge in construction, where he applies his skills as LEED AP Building Design + Construction. He stands out with is know-how in worksite management, cost control, follow up on schedule, planning, and procurement. Quick spirited and pragmatic, he easily integrates the most asking work teams.

Mr BEAUDRY is fluent in French and English. He masters planning tools: MS Project and Primavera, design tools: AutoCAD and SketchUp, and cost estimates tools: On-Screen Takeoff and Hard Dollar.

Brigitte DUPUIS, EMBA

With her EMBA (master’s degree in business administration for executives), Brigitte cumulates over 15 years of experience in building construction, business development, and marketing. Throughout those years, she worked with notorious enterprises such as: Hydro-Québec, AtkinsRéalis (previously SNC-Lavalin), Veolia, and ENGIE.

People-oriented and focussed on maintaining long-term relationships within a network of key individuals, she is recognized for her problem-solving skills and her creativity in implementing innovative solutions. Committed professional, she optimizes day-to-day client-experience by using efficient marketing tools in all spheres of customer service, from qualification to after-sale, and this, with a global and holistic vision of the enterprise.
