At a cost of approximately $10 million per year for six years, Canadian National (CN) is starting construction and renovation on its railway transport facilities. This large-scale complex project includes the construction, renovation and rehabilitation of both new and existing equipment, buildings and infrastructure. As a project manager, Macogep must oversee and carry out almost a hundred projects of various sizes each year. There is one main safety requirement: any construction near operating railways must strictly adhere to railway safety standards and Transport Canada standards.
