Rehabilitation and upgrading of Montreal Court of Appeal
Originally built in the 1920’s, the Ernest Cormier building must be brought up to standard in order to house the Montreal Court of Appeal. Macogep is tasked by SQI with estimating costs to renovate and bring this building, of exceptional heritage and architectural value, up to standard. One of the major challenges is to quickly identify and estimate the scope of the asbestos decontamination work and restoration of heritage elements, in order to adjust the budget accordingly. Mission accomplished by Macogep which, after negotiating certain changes with contractors, also helps to substantially reduce the invoice while achieving the objectives of SQI.
