Rouyn-Noranda is a city in the Abitibi-Temiscamingue area, 650 km north-west from Montreal. Over the last few years, the city had undergone an intensive economic growth, with the development of several construction projects and infrastructure expansion. Young citizens are flowing back, due to favorable work conditions. For the city, providing quality infrastructures to its citizens became a priority, which is listed in the revised development plan, in the 5th intention: “Facilitate the development of equipment’s and infrastructure to promote physical activity”.

The project has two phases:

First, the construction of a new Aquacentre with a reception, a relaxation area, three dressing rooms, a 25-m – 8 lane pool for competitions, a recreational pool, technical and support rooms, and stands on the second floor.

Second, the construction of a new indoor artificial turf playground, with a reception and an equipment lending boutique, two dressing rooms, first aid and physiotherapy rooms, technical rooms, and stands on the second floor.
