As a cultural complex and dedicated art space, the Place des Arts is part of an exclusive international circuit of major performance art production and performance centres. To maintain this upscale reputation, the Société de la Place des Arts decided to upgrade its facilities. Specifically, work was carried out on:

• Building façade along Sainte-Catherine Street and the main entrance hall;
• The Pierre Granche art installation, with the addition of the Place Deschamps wine bar;
• A new ticket office;
• Corridor and main entrance for Wilfrid-Pelletier Hall;
• A new exhibit hall;
• Control and dressing rooms for Espace culturel Georges-Émile Lapalme;
• Entrance for the Trois-Théâtres auditorium;
• Outdoor lighting;
• Asbestos removal in parking lot P1;
• Indoor signage.
